The workshop
Almakhtoum Couture sews made-to-measure pieces in Dakar: boubous, kaftans, ceremonial sets and everyday wear. Every garment is cut to the measurements of the person who will wear it — that is the difference between an outfit that fits and one that hangs.
We work with bazin, silk and wax, with hand embroidery on request. You can bring your own fabric or choose from what we have in stock.
Measuring
Twenty minutes at the workshop. Your measurements are kept for your next orders.
Making
From seven days for trousers to three weeks for an embroidered ceremonial outfit.
Alterations
Included. A made-to-measure garment must fit right — otherwise it comes back to the workshop.
